“Look. Whatever it is…” Micro bites his lip. “I’m sure this, you, uh, stabbing yourself with a sword isn’t the answer, yeah? Are you alone out here? Did anyone else come with you?” He glances around. “No? Then hey, how about this? We can go find them together. I’ll personally escort you—”
Maybe it's pity. Maybe Micro sees a bit of himself in this man, trying to follow through with the one thing that has lingered in a distant, dark corner of his mind.
Whatever else he's about to ramble dies on his chapped, dehydrated lips. From behind the mess of his bangs, the man finally looks down and meets his gaze.
The first thing Micro notices — Wow. His perfect eyes match the perfect shade of his perfect hair.
“Yeah?” Micro tilts his head. “I promise I’m a great trip buddy—”
"Saparata…?"
Or, after the war, instead of turning himself in, Thomas decides to take an alternative approach.

The boy turns around and briefly makes eye contact with Micro, actually, and suddenly his brain is unable to work.
One. Did someone look at him? The feeling is weird, though Micro knows it’s unrealistic. It was just chance. He’s a ghost. No one can see him.
Still… being looked in the eyes was now foreign.
Two, the guy is quite handsome.
Three, an instinct to follow him surfaces in Micro. His brain tells him to move, to follow the guy who decides to walk past him with an expression he can’t read. He’s gotten worse at reading those.
Micro is truly going insane, isn’t he?
OR
Micro is a ghost in a school, Thomas is a new student who can see him for some reason.
(Their fates seem to be tied as well.)

Summary
It's the most wonderful time of the year. The sun blurs out for a rain of snowflakes that declares the “jolly holly” season of gift-giving and festivity.
For that holiday gaiety, Micro finds it best to give homemade, tasty desserts as presents to foster the magical Christmas spirit. He does exclude one person from his “cookie gift” frenzy, but it doesn't make the day any less of a celebration.
Unbeknownst to him, Thomas crumbles pathetically at this “slip-up” and nearly considers it a grave mistake.
