To you, Tommy would say, if he was stronger. He's not going to do anything to you.
But he doesn't. Tommy keeps his mouth shut—whatever it takes to stay.
When Techno and Wilbur Soot-Watson anger a bully, it shouldn't be an issue. They are as untouchable as they can get, for students anyway.
It's unfortunate that Tommy, their foster brother, isn't. Being their soft spot, it only makes sense that he becomes the next target.

It almost didn’t feel real, but he knew it was in the way his heart was beating frantically in his chest – the way his toes were pinched in his shoes and how the tag of his hoodie itched his neck.
He stepped forward. Silence.
He woke up.
Tommy just wants to stay dead; the universe and his family object.

27 April 2026: Ironic that I’m re-reading this on the same day of the month. Anyways, I think about this fic pretty frequently. It’s a sick asf concept and amazing execution, I mean I’m a sucker for time loops, but this really takes the cake. Ugly crying, chest hurting, pause-to-breathe inducing kinda fic. Fuck.
READ THIS WARNING: Please, only read this fic if you’re looking for a good cry. Yes, it has a happy ending, but this is about suicide from start to end.

That shit was dangerous. Whatever this kid had been doing, it could've killed him. It still might. For a minute, Wilbur wrestled with his morals, but he knew it was useless. He was going to help this idiot at two in the morning after his mother's funeral.

29 Feb 2026: still a banger. Super interesting worldbuilding and magic system, and a fantastic grasp on relationships between each character based on who they are and what they’re going through as individuals.
