A week after the Musical Anthology, Derek and Casey are still trying to reorient their lives. But it turns out that Derek with an emotional hangover is basically a grumpy introvert, and a Casey who is trying to make the best out of a bad situation is quick to invent distraction techniques. The solution, of course, is to play a game.
"Her eyes flash, she inhales deeply, and she leans forward; their faces are just a couple of inches away from each other. “I bet you I’m a better Derek than you are a Casey.”"

Buck felt his mouth drop open in delight. “Eddie,” he admonished. “Are you calling me a whore?”
“No!” said Eddie, looking increasingly flustered. “I just mean—clearly you have the power to do—” he gestured at Buck, “that, so you have the—the responsibility to, like, use it. Responsibly.”
“Did you just quote Spiderman?”
Eddie propped his elbows on the table and dropped his head into his hands, groaning dramatically. “I’m going to die. The first date, and I’m going to die.”

To say that Daine was disappointed at the lack of reaction to her heat would be a bit more accurate than she wanted it to be.
