Summary
Grian has been many things.
A servant of a respected noble family. A survivor, with bruises on his skin and hidden wings tied down to his back. A rebel, sneaking away for a night of wonder in the heart of the kingdom - and a curiosity, gawked at by all as the King himself swept him into his arms and spent hours by his side.
When Scar spent days tracking Grian down and helping him escape the cruel grasp of the Watchers, Grian thought his life couldn’t surprise him anymore. Pledging his life to serve Scar was all he could do to thank his King.
Of course, being the personal servant of the King comes with its' own risks - and now Grian could add ‘hostage’ to his list of titles.
Or; someone decides kidnapping King Scar’s beloved servant was a good idea. It really wasn’t.

I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.

Summary
Grian’s possessive of his freedom, his personal space, always keeping himself at a distance even while he jokes and pretends to be amicable with them all. He is possessive in the way that means he needs to badger Scar into covering up, that he refuses to let Scar out of his sight unless there’s something he deems more pressing to handle.
Scar is possessive in the way that means he can let Grian go wherever he wants, make deals and undermine Scar’s scams without a care in the world, because at the end of the day, Scar is the one Grian comes back to. He’s the one Grian can never escape, the one Grian has made a home with, the one Grian lies in bed with at night.
Scar is the kind of possessive to show up back at their castle, covered in marks from another man, and let Grian show him who he truly belongs to.

“Sir, I hate that this is how you find out, but the Evolution server was invaded by non player entities. Every member is missing and,” She took a deep breath. “Presumed dead.”
“Pardon?” She didn’t elaborate. “Is this some kind of joke? This isn’t - this isn’t funny, you know! You could get fired for that. Grian just - we just lost contact, is all. He just stopped messaging me. That’s fine. I can deal with that, but he isn’t missing, and he certainly isn’t dead.” Mumbo wasn’t shaking. He wasn’t. Because it could not possibly be true.Or
Grian goes missing during his time in the Evolution SMP. Mumbo is left with no idea of what happened to his boyfriend. A year after his last contact with Grian, he arrives on the Hermitcraft server in critical condition, and for some reason, with wings that Mumbo is 90% sure weren’t there before. What’s more is he refuses to talk about what happened. It only gets worse after a portion of the server goes missing, with Grian seemingly being the only one who remembers anything about it. And who knows what the hell is going on with Scar?
