    Summary

“It’s good, thank you,” Zira said curtly, then fixed him with another glare. “And my name is Zira, not Angel.”

He shouldn’t speak, he shouldn’t speak, he shouldn’t speak— “S’not what the A stands for? Cos it seems like it could be, with, y’know, y’lookin’ all—ngh—angelic and—nhmmm—cherubic an’ stuff y’know.”

Crowley was going to cut out his own tongue.

    *****
Zira loathes Crowley from the first time they crash into each other. The cool, confident, brash man is the opposite in every way to his anonymous online paramour, Rose. Crowley is attracted to Zira, but the man is supercilious and overbearing. Besides, he’s only flirting with Zira because he doesn’t think he’s worthy of his anonymous online partner, Flower. Now, Zira and Crowley are trapped on a ship together, assigned to the same dinner table for the next two weeks, while online, Flower and Rose are planning to meet in person for the first time…

    Summary

Right now, he's pretending to be asleep.

He's doing a piss-poor job of it, even without the bright glint of his eyes giving him away. The breathing is a heavy pantomime; far too weighed-down. Crowley doesn't breathe like that at all when he sleeps; it's quite the opposite. He takes slow, shallow sips of air, as though he's barely drinking in any at all. And his posture is all wrong; he's reclined on the couch in a way he clearly thinks is the way he sleeps; a freeze-frame of the way he walks, loose-limbed and gangly, arms and legs tossed about all over the place. In actuality, Crowley sleeps small. He curls into himself like he's trying to minimise the space he takes up in the world; compact and quiet and unobtrusive as a stone.

Aziraphale knows these things. He has a wealth of experience to draw upon.

(OR: Crowley's eyes do that thing where they look like laser beams in the dark, because I said so.)

    Summary

Aziraphale has lived with Crowley for a year, watching him tumble from partner to partner. Inconvenient thing to have fallen for his flatmate, who has absolutely no wish to settle with anyone.

Perhaps it's time to move on... if the night allows.

    Summary

Aziraphale Z. Fell is a rising star of the spiritual literary genre - the next Eat Pray Love guy - and his version of Chicken Soup For the Christian Soul is flying off the shelves. It's not that he's not grateful, but it's one thing to enjoy a career in writing and another completely to be pigeonholed into a specific genre, so much so that you are almost forbidden from writing anything else.
So yes, maybe he has a bit of a secret. An outlet for his less... appropriate urges. And yes, if his typical readership got word of the sort of paragraphs he could put out on a particularly inspired night, they might suffer some form of heart attack typical for their age.
But all of that is well hidden, and there is absolutely no way anyone would ever find out about his Arrangement with A.J. Crowley - the most debaucherous romantic fiction author of the decade.
That is... until they have to pretend to be married to each other.
