some minor updates were made on 1/18/25 - Tails and Knuckles are now Sonic's brothers. No changes to the plot, just some added lines and such. Chapter Three has the most changes made, but again, nothing major.

Anya didn’t know what to do, she’d effectively hit a roadblock. The two people in charge were both people she couldn’t turn to. Curly didn’t do a thing and Jimmy was the source of the problem.
She looked up from where she’d been staring at her own feet, swallowing thickly when she noticed Swansea at work. Anya hesitated before deciding to try one last option.

Summary
Berdly doesn't understand where this sudden urge came from. It's usually just a territorial response when people get too close to his nest or his treasured trinkets, so why does he feel it when his rival is being mocked for things outside of their feeble control? This is terrible.
Kris hates that they feel like this. Why the hell do they have this urge to just… defend the dumb nerd bird from their class whenever they catch him being made fun of? Why do they want him close at all times?! This sucks.
Or, five times Kris and Berdly experience unexplainable compulsions that directly link to each other, and one time that culminates in a realization for both of them.
