Somewhere between the beginning of Yuri's essay and the end, his eyes watered, but he wouldn’t let tears fall just yet; he blinked them away in the hope that he would manage to understand the essay better with clearer eyes. Yet now, without any reason to keep them in, they started sliding down his cheeks.

“I liked it,” Tadashi admits softly, squeezing his eyes shut. “I like skating with you.”
It’s the only way he knows how to describe what the last few weeks have been like – the only way to describe what they’ve just done in the rain – and even all these years, chasing this feeling with Ainosuke is as easy as breathing.
