In no way does Ghost own or have contact with dogs outside of the K-9 unit. But surely it wouldn't hurt to just have a look? To just take a step closer and run his fingers over a particularly nice looking one.
Fake black leather with a bone shaped tag. He could get that engraved. It’s not too hefty and he’s sure it could fit around a particularly large… potentially man-sized dog.
______Simon 'Ghost' Riley is a very reserved man.
He doesn't overshare or exert unnecessary energy often. He doesn't make obvious innuendos or display affection very publicly.
Which is why it becomes so difficult when he wants to try something new.

"Good boy…" Kyle sighs, setting his hand down again, and starting to rub tiny circles into the unruly hair on top of his head. At the soothing gesture, Simon's shoulders sag down a considerable fraction, and content relaxation comes off him in waves.
He's going down beautifully. And Kyle is handling him like an expert. Maybe even better than John; he always handles Simon harsher in a scene. Less praise, less softness and sweet talk. Thinks Simon enjoys it, but looking at the scene in front of him? He's not so sure anymore. His confidence is fragile, and his grip on reality as well.
Is it Kyle he's jealous of, the way handling Simon seems to come to him so easily? Or is it possessiveness over Simon? Wanting him all for himself, enraged at the sight of other hands on him than his.
Price has Simon. And then Kyle. Greedy as he is, he wants to share his favourite pup with his Sergeant. However, he might get more than he bargained for.

As if on cue, a wave of abrupt nausea hits Maps like a truck as they struggle to focus on the figures walking up to the podium, the world spinning back and forth on a pendulum.
Maps knew exactly where they were right now. How could they not? They've relived this moment more times than they could count. Maps knew what was coming next.
All they could do was play their part. It ended quicker that way.
