Peaceful retirement and domestic bliss don't mean that the past just disappears. Aziraphale knows this, but sometimes it still intrudes in unwelcome ways. Crowley finds a way to help.

Crowley isn’t impressed with Aziraphale’s latest gift to him. Sleeping in a tartan cat bed as a snake wouldn't be the least bit cool, after all. Even if the cat bed does look unfairly comfortable.

A bit of a silly piece I started after S1, here to tide us over while we wait for the finale! Posting it now to get the A/C tag closer to that gorgeous 77,777 number.
After 6000 years with basically no physical contact, now that they can openly be together, Crowley gets overwhelmed and snakes out every time Aziraphale touches him. What's a snaky demon to do?
Basically no angst other than Crowley's frustration (which gets resolved, of course)--enjoy a light read if you're waiting for the finale to drop!

“He’s taken the book to Hell, then?” Aziraphale asks, eyes wide. “Oh, dear.”
“It certainly isn’t ideal," Crowley grimaces. "So, I suppose I’ll have to pop Downstairs and fetch it back. Let’s hope he wasn’t acting under Beelzebub’s orders, but if he was… Well. I might not make it back anytime soon."
Aziraphale is looking at him like he’s suddenly started speaking in tongues. “Crowley, honestly, what goes on in that head of yours? I’ll be going with you, of course.”
“What.”
~
Set in early season 1: Aziraphale never notices Agnes' book in Crowley's car. Instead, Hastur steals it, forcing Aziraphale and Crowley to travel to Hell to retrieve it.

In the Garden of Eden, the angel Aziraphale goes from animal to animal, greeting them with a gentle kiss or a nose boop.
This includes a certain beautiful serpent who is, in fact, Aziraphale’s mortal enemy… but of course, Aziraphale doesn’t know that yet.

Summary
"What." Crowley grumbled and looked down at the mouse in his hands. "Don't see what's so important about a little white mouse."
That's when he felt it. It wasn't a heartbeat thrumming against his palm, it was an angelic essence. A very familiar angelic essence.
"Aziraphale..."
His voice came out as a whisper, as if he couldn't believe it. He hadn't seen Aziraphale in months, not since the angel had left him for Heaven. He had wallowed for a little while, then found purpose again in a routine, knowing that eventually Aziraphale would come crawling back, confessing his great mistake in thinking that he could make a change Upstairs.
He never in his most petty dreams imagined that Aziraphale would return a broken little creature, dirty with what looked like perhaps an attempted smiting.
~*~
Aziraphale returns to Earth, but at a great cost to his corporation. Now, with Crowley's help, he must find a way to heal -- and quickly -- before Heaven finds him and resumes the Second Coming.

Summary
Five years have gone by since the failed Armageddon; Crowley and Aziraphale have finally admitted what they mean to each other.
The next logical step, at least according to Crowley, is moving in together. But Aziraphale hasn’t noticed any of Crowley’s hints on the subject.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, 2025 is also the Year of the Snake and Crowley struggles to keep his snake-y features under wraps.
But never let it be said that the demon can’t come up with a cunning plan that might solve both of his problems.
And Crowley’s plans never backfire, right?
This fic is set after season 1 and is not season 2 compliant.

Summary
Aziraphale Fell doesn’t know how to cook. Seeing as he’s only the garbage boy at Eden, an elite Parisian restaurant, this shouldn’t be an issue. Unfortunately a clumsy mistake one night puts his job on the line. Eden has a reputation to maintain– a reputation that has no room for silly amateur chefs who don’t even know how to make soup. Yes, it will take nothing short of divine intervention– or serpentine intervention, rather– to save Aziraphale now.
This is the Ratatouille au no one asked for. Bon appétit!
