Uraraka was sick of it. Katsuki Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya were obviously in love with each other, but their third year at UA was coming to an end and neither of them were any closer to realizing that their feelings were requited. If neither boy was willing to take the leap of faith and just confess already, somebody was going to have to intervene.
And if that somebody had to be her, so be it.

There are small petals, five of them dotting his palm, sitting there innocently.
They’re soft to the touch when Izuku shifts them with his thumb, and pale red in color. He can’t tell what flower they could be from. Izuku stares at them, face completely blank. It hits him, a few seconds later.
He just coughed up petals.
It isn’t a quirk, he knows that for sure; students aren’t allowed to leave UA, and he’s only been to class and the on-campus gym.
Eyes widening, Izuku’s whirring brain slows to a stop. Shortness of breath, coughing, pain in the chest and throat, petals.
He has Hanahaki.

“He left.”
Izuku froze and his eyes widened, “Left? W-what’d you mean he left?” Izuku whispered. He heard Ochaco sigh through the other side, “He—Bakugou took a mission and left for America I think two days ago. Deku-kun, he’s—he’s gonna be gone for seven to eight months,” she said quietly.
“W-why didn’t—he left? This doesn’t—” Izuku started feeling his throat close up, “This doesn’t make sense, Kacchan always tells me—he does—he tells me everything then why?” he whispered, his voice shaking while he tried to hold back tears.
Izuku struggles with the fact that he's not a hero anymore and he does his best to make do with what he has and decided to become a teacher and after eight long years of finally being able to reconcile with Ochaco, he's noticed how absent Katsuki's being with him and finds out soon after from Ochaco that Katsuki decided to take a eight month long mission to America without telling him and Izuku is left to figure out his feelings on his own

UA’s spring comes with its own kind of honesty.
What starts as a simple literature assignment on love songs turns into something else entirely — a confession disguised as analysis, a panic attack in a courtyard, a hand offered in quiet understanding. TLDR:
Bakugou Katsuki’s presentation on The Smiths was supposed to be about literary analysis, not his gay awakening.Midoriya Izuku’s presentation on The Cure wasn’t supposed to turn into a public confession.
Now they’ve both accidentally turned a Literature 2A assignment into a love story — complete with panic attacks, cherry blossoms, and extra credit for true love.
