Home met Genos barely any different than how he left it. Fleeting feeling overcame him right on time at 0.33 seconds from opening the front door. It never lasted enough time to analyse properly even if it happened consistently, sensor data was of no help. So Genos had to guess that the feeling was a response to coming in contact with extreme amount of Power of his sensei, because even meeting Tatsumaki produced no such response.

This is poetry.. wish i could quote the whole fic
Why did he actually let Genos in? Not only into his house, but his life?Saitama doesn’t know how they came to be in such position so calmly, as they both aren’t the biggest fans of physical contact, however, it seems that life was all about equations, add two lonely men and their conflict with their own humanity, and you get a tether to the world.
He doesn’t need eyes to know how Genos looks like, as his lovely face has ingrained itself into his mind, ever-lastingly so, made its own home in the space of Saitama’s brain, just how Genos himself did, he turned the apartment into a home with his notebooks and pink apron and toothbrush and own futon.
He feels want flooding his being, his throat, his lips, and this kid really doesn’t know what he has done to Saitama, huh?
“I don’t deserve your words, sensei. I’m sorry. They’re too kind. You’re too kind to me. I can be cruel and mean and merciless.”
“there’s so much more to you than your anger.”“You’re welcome. You know I don’t mind.” It came out far too tender for it not to be hiding something underneath. Something stronger. Possibly stronger than him. Love is so weird.
“Ever since I became a cyborg, I never thought I’d be capable of being loved.”
And it crushes him, it feels like a rebirth to hear his name like that, he has to remind himself to breathe because he’s so sure this moment will be the death of him.
The author is an amazing writer.
Love the theme of waves and dreams. Very comforting, always there, kinda in the background, but you need it to fall asleep, and you need it to dream for something better

Still, that had been nothing compared to preparing Saitama-kun for what had happened.

Not understanding what was happening Genos twisted his head to look down, to get a look at the rest of himself.
He saw more tan fur, with dark spots and stripes, and paws, and a long tail swishing angrily to and fro, just the way the stray cats would do when they looked at Saitama in that distrustful way.
He stared and stared at himself. Started turning around to get a better look, going in circles, pawing at his own tail, mewling pitifully, trying to make sense of what had happened to him.

The display caught Genos’ attention.
He could buy them easily, as price was never a concern. But Sensei would always refuse anything “too fancy”. Like that time he brought home wagyū for 500,000 yen. He had been shocked at the price and told him not to spend so much. But when he ate it, he seemed… pleased.
Genos opened his mouth. “If—”
“Don’t,” Saitama cut him off, waving a hand. “Too expensive. The cheap ones are fine anyway.”
He hesitated. His eyes flicked toward the sparkly decorations surrounding the display.
“…And it’d be kinda weird.”
