This story has less of "a plot" and more "an idea which allowed me to string together 13k worth of scenes more-or-less comprehensibly".
Martin manages to intervene and stop Jon causing the apocalypse. Jon becomes a horror writer, feeding on fan-mail about how scary his books are. Martin blinds himself so he can resign from The Magnus Institute, and shares his time between poetry and pre-reading the fan-mail to check Jonah doesn't try to sneak an apocalypse note through. They have a daughter and name her after a library.
