Jim and Spock hadn´t meant to keep it a secret.
They had had their wedding a year prior to the first five-year mission and when Jim had gotten the news that he would be the new captain of the Enterprise he had listed Spock as his spouse to make sure they would be on it together.
So, when they had entered the board of the USS Enterprise it hadn´t occurred to them that people might not know.(In which Spock and Jim casually forget to mention that they are married, and the Enterprise crew is too oblivious to notice on their own)

The doorbell is ringing. Gabriel thinks that it kind of sounds like a nightingale being slowly tortured to death. Wary, he opens the door. Standing on his doorstep with a suitcase and a plant is a rather familiar demon.
"You have a guest room, right?" Crowley asks.
Gabriel closes the door in his face.
Or: Feeling miserable after Aziraphale returned to Heaven, Crowley decides to make his bad mood somebody else's problem. Moving in with Gabriel and Beelzebub is the only logical conclusion.
