Invincible and Omni-Man are the only two speakers of the Viltrumite language on Earth. After their battle leaves behind untold destruction, the world is scrambling to uncover why Omni-Man betrayed humanity. The key seems to lie in his last conversations with Invincible, recorded and shared around the globe, but the problem is nobody can understand them. Nobody, that is, except for Invincible.
Meanwhile, Mark's haunted by the last thing his father said to him. He can't tell anyone, not even his heartbroken mother or the increasingly desperate government. They can't know. Mark struggles to hold out under the intense pressure, but as Cecil and countless others continue their investigations, they grow closer to the truth with each passing day...

Six months ago, Dick finally got away from Slade. Convinced that his former master is afraid of Batman, he settled in a city close to Gotham and began his new life as Nightwing. One night, he finds the criminals he’d been chasing strung up and punished a little too severely. Not wanting Batman to think this is how he operates, he chases their assailant and finds a Damian that was new to the batfam and eager to prove his usefulness. Soon after Spoiler also arrives, tasked with getting Damian back home. She offered Dick a comm, but he doesn't take it.
2. Some business from Gotham spilled over into Blüdhaven, leading to Red Cardinal and Black Bat seeking out Nightwing so they can deal with it together.

Damian Al Ghul Wayne dies pathetically. Pathetically, but peacefully, with two brothers by his side and the voice of his father in his ear. He foolishly believes that he won't resurrect someway or another.
Why. Why did he think that? Why, with the absurdity that is his life? He honestly should have known better.
Or: Thirteen year old Damian wakes up as a toddler version of himself. As you can imagine, he's not particularly pleased about the toddler part. Or that he's in a different universe with no way to go back.
The silver lining is that he now has the chance to be Father's only child (temporarily). But that's only after he gets home because in case he forgot to mention, he woke up in the League.
Fuck.
Regardless of the differences of this strange universe, he is determined to ensure the adoption of his siblings. If his plans do not succeed, Damian will be forced to take...drastic measures to bring them together.

With Mom working, Mark skipping out on all his college classes, and the world spinning regularly as always, Mark was left with the nagging suspicion that he would need far more patience if he wanted to properly raise Oliver. Who was going to tell him that parenting while also trying to balance your hero work life was a nightmare? He had a raging headache, an uneasy stomach, and had been staring at the window for the last twenty minutes while Oliver babbled nonsense in the living room. Mark wasn’t supposed to be this empty-handed, was he? He got himself into this mess, right, so he should know better. He should be better by now. Cecil interrupting just as Mark was about to throw himself through a window was not helping.

Mark was seventeen years old, one of the strongest soldiers, and yet still the weakest out of the many. He knew he was an oddity, knew that he was frowned upon, and knew—in a similar fashion—that he would be an oddity if he returned to Earth. But, deep in his chest, there was a longing to be fulfilled. It just so happened that his only chance to return to what was his birth planet was given to him in the form of a violent murder, and then an even more violent vengeance as he took a Viltrumite by the neck and drowned it in a body of salt water. By good or bad luck, the ocean belonged to Earth—which meant if he could figure out the mechanics of being human, he might even be able to find his Mom again. The issue, of course, was that some kind of human defense agency found him—and the dead Viltrumite—therefore coming to the conclusion that Mark had killed it.
Mark wasn’t sure if humans did that to each other. He could assume that they didn’t, but maybe he could say it was—what did humans call the teenager phase, again? Puberty?
(or: mark is raised as a viltrumite, and attempts to assimilate to earth to find his mom at the messy age of seventeen.)

Remorseful Omni-Man is soooo interesting. Glad our Mark had a place in the story though, as dead children/ young adults is soooo heavy. I was still sad, but it was a good read. Read if major character death won't detract from your enjoyment of a lovely story.

Cecil feels his stomach clench in apprehension as he looks at the Mark through grainy security footage. Hands behind his head and expression perfectly calm surrounded by reanimen.
No yelling, no cocky smirk, no crazy eyes.
There's also none of the anxiety or anger or any of the complicated array of emotions that Cecil is used to seeing on those features. Just the sort of calm confidence that stems from the complete and utter certainty that he’s the strongest person in the room. Cecil is intimately familiar with that look, since he used to see it all the time.
On Nolan’s face.
Or: MasklessMark isn't evil and he wants to stay. Complicated, heart-wrenching, and sometimes funny things result from this choice.

Percy should've known better than to turn monstrous all those millennia ago, but in his defense, there hadn't been any good brochures about it. After several monotonous millennia of eating demigods, he finally finds himself in the unenviable situation of being headhunted by Kronos, the most evil and persistent recruiter across all realms, for his army of darkness and doom.
With no other options, Percy forges a truce with Poseidon and winds up at Camp Half-Blood. He can't eat anything other than the pesky monsters that weirdly keep invading the camp's borders, there's way too many delectable demigod temptations running around, and the head counselor of the Hermes cabin really has it out for him, but it's nothing Percy can't solve through good 'ol fashioned fisticuffs.
