This is it. After so long of training and begging, pushing herself and pushing herself, trying twice as hard to get half as much, this is it. Alix’s final chance to prove herself.
How hard can it be, really? All she’s got to do is rescue some princess from some tower, and probably kill a dragon in the process, and she’ll be a knight. Everything she’s ever wanted, everything she was always told she couldn’t be.
She’s done much harder things than saving princesses and slaying dragons. This will be a piece of cake.
(Alix isn’t sure what’s happening anymore. Nathaniel’s mom is so weird. And Nath is acting weird, too—he’s quiet, but not like this. But her dad is acting like everything’s alright, so maybe she’s just missing something?)OR, Alix is a knight-in-training tasked to save Nathaniel from a dragon. The only problem? Nathaniel doesn't want to be saved.

Summary
It’s an almost sickening play at domesticity, like two lovers whose worlds are steadily merging together, entwining until they are inextricable from one another. Martyn wonders, sometimes, why that isn’t what they have—why the love he weaves into his life doesn’t look how it’s supposed to, or fit in the right boxes. But he’s tried to stop worrying about it—how can he care about a thing like that, when what he has with Scott is everything he could possibly want?
'But what is it that you have?' a traitorous voice pries. 'You don’t even know. How can you have everything you want when you don’t even know what you have, or what you want?'
Whatever he and Scott are, it works for the two of them. Martyn won’t risk changing anything by saying what’s been left unspoken.
Or, Scott has something to tell Martyn. Martyn has something to ask Scott. They're aro about it.

Summary
Soulmates, like his name and the hearts on his wrist, are a fact of life, something Scott knows to be true even as he struggles to recall any semblance of a world before this one. The universe is kind and loving, and She gives her players soulmates, people they are meant to find, people who are meant to complete them. Some have strings of fate tying them together, some take on each others’ pain, others still have marks on their body signifying the person out there who is meant for them.
Scott has colors. The universe is kind and loving, and She gives soulmates to her players, and Scott’s soulmate has always been destined to bring color into his world. And now, for the first time, Scott’s view is painted in hues outside of a grayscale, overwhelming in their brightness, and it is because of the man in front of him, the player the universe has designated as Scott’s, the person meant to make Scott whole.OR, Third Life Flower Husbands but they're soulmates. It doesn't make anything less tragic.

Summary
Scott loves his wife.
That’s not a sentence he ever thought he’d say, but it’s true. When Jimmy had come to him, something achingly vulnerable in her expression, and told him she was a woman, Scott had taken it in stride. Wife or husband, Jimmy is his life partner, and Scott can’t imagine a world where he doesn’t love her beyond belief.But sometimes, as Scott helps Jimmy along the path of her transition, something ugly and bitter will rear its head, and it will stain the otherwise joyous moment with something raw and unpleasant and unshakeable. Scott is always left feeling bitterly, distinctly wrong, with no idea why he could be feeling that way in the first place.
Or, Jimmy comes out, and Scott questions some things.

Summary
The first thing Scott notices about the man is his wings—golden and expansive, gleaming with light from the surrounding streetlights and buildings, flared out ever so slightly behind him. The second thing Scott notices is the spattering of stars dusted across the man’s left cheek, slowly turning from black to blue, the same vivid cyan shade as Scott’s hair and the stars eternally circling his head.
Almost on instinct, Scott glances down to where the wings of his tattoo poke out from the neck of his shirt, sprawling over his collarbone. The mark, which has been an outline of black ink for as long as Scott’s had it, is filling with color—a golden shade entirely too similar to the wings of the man before him. Scott looks back up at the man—his soulmate.Or, Scott has always wanted a soulmate. He isn’t convinced that he deserves one.

“Where are the rest of your friends?” a figure in a white fencing uniform called out. However, instead of a fencing mask, it wore a white porcelain mask with a purple rectangle etched into it, covering her entire face.
“Out,” Martyn snapped.
“That’s a shame, we were having so much fun,” it deadpanned. “And I don’t think your friend here would like it if we talked again.”
“I’m sorry, what?” Scott interrupted.
“I’m done playing this silly game,” Martyn glared at them. His voice was low and dangerous. “None of these niceties, none of this beating around the bush. I’m sick of all of this.”
Or: Martyn wouldn't consider himself good, more... good adjacent. So when Cleo, the head of the hero organization calls him in to investigate the dissappearance of Solidarity, he accepts. He joins forces with his best friend, the ghost of the legendary super villain Red King and the mysterious hero, Major. However, nothing as it seems as he's thrown into a time loop searching for a way to save people he barely knows.

Summary
It was weird—he’d shared the ice with people before, obviously, for warm-ups and gala skates, but something about this was different. It was like he couldn’t focus. It was…frustrating.
Scott tried to ignore it, but as he was skating backwards, building up to a lutz, his feet suddenly came out from under him and he went backwards in a way he hadn’t since his early days of skating. It was like all his previous fall-safety-knowledge had fled him in the seconds it took to fall, and he didn’t realize he even was until his head smacked against the ice. It wasn’t hard enough to see stars, thankfully, but it was apparently hard enough to stunlock him to the point Pearl had the time to skate over and gawk down at him.
“Are you okay?” She asked, holding out a hand for him to get up. He blinked once and took it, letting her help him right himself. “That looked like a bad fall.”

When pro figure skater Scott takes a nasty fall on the ice during practice he wakes up in a time loop that seems to revolve around fixing his no-good-very-bad-Christmas Eve (and finding love along the way).
