Hwang Hyunjin just wants to start college back off on the right foot. His high school life was... difficult, to say the least. He's in therapy now, and he's genuinely getting better. But what happens when his project partner, a cute little freshman, starts to resemble the kid he used to be? What if he can't be the person Han needs?

Unfortunately, he was too under the influence to stop himself. “You’ve been acting off for days- and..and tonight, at your best friend's birthday party you’re still acting strange. Beomgyu didn't really know what had happened to him. Of course, this was a recognisable feeling, but he thought he’d healed. Everything was going well. He was happy. His friends were happy. But his mind told him he shouldn't be. His mind told him to suffer, to skip meals again, to avoid talking to those he loved. And while the skipping meals part was difficult, he found it easy to shut down a little more everyday. He spent more time in his room, cracked less jokes during practice, declined innocent hangouts because he was “too tired” or “had other plans.”
It genuinely came out of nowhere. But that was the art of depression: surprise attacks that lacked a catalysing force.

"Baby..." Soobin sighed. "Come on. You'll feel better when you're clean," he said, tenderly, one hand rubbing Yeonjun's back to calm his boyfriend down. "You don't have to do anything. I'll help you take the bath."
Yet Yeonjun was still reluctant. He only opened his eyes slightly and pouted. "Kitty hates water." He purred before nuzzling his nose on the crook of Soobin's neck and smiled. "Binnie smells nice." He'd let himself rest in the comfort that was Soobin's embrace.
Oh. Soobin gulped as he realized that Yeonjun was in his kitten headspace, his cuteness so overwhelming that it was so bad for Soobin's weak heart. That's not a revelation, neither it was something new, but it just indicated how far Yeonjun had gone since the headspace would only appear during the roughest times they had to go through and the last time it happened was some time during Yeonjun's solo mixtape era.
