Vigilantism is defined as illegal and/or unlicensed quirk use with the intentional goal of rounding up, attacking, or otherwise apprehending criminals or otherwise in a manner emulating the tasks of heroes in an offensive or dangerous manner.
Izuku reread the definition a few times.
It wasn't as though Izuku had never heard of vigilantes. He even had notes on a few interesting ones. He knew illegal quirk use was probably a big factor in it being, well, illegal. He just hadn't realized quirk use was what made somebody a vigilante. It was sort of odd. He expected the definition to be more… inclusive, he supposed. What if somebody just didn't use their quirk? It couldn't apply to mutations unless they had emitter or transformation qualities, right? It couldn't apply to-
It couldn't apply to him.
He couldn't be a vigilante.
They couldn't arrest him for being one.
Or:
Midoriya Izuku ends up becoming a vigilante. Featuring Eraserdad, a very tired Tsukauchi, and Mic being the sanest adult here.

Summary
“So you’re really a hero?” the man, Midoriya, asks as they walk through the dark, wet halls of the underground base.
“Regrettably,” Shota answers.
“Hey, but now you get a chance to take 'em down from the inside. Ah, here we are!” he calls as they walk through the large metal door, “Your new weapon, All for One.”
Shota stalls, his eyes going wide for a second before he remembers his role. What the hell? This was the ‘demon’ he was supposed to be investigating? The ‘lord of evil’?
The small figure sits up, rubbing their face tiredly. They turn and wide, scared green eyes stare at him.
All for One is… a child?!
Or
There’s word from the underground that ‘All for One’ has returned. Aizawa is sent undercover to investigate these claims and is surprised to see that the so-called ‘king of the underworld’ is a small, scared child locked behind bars. Aizawa’s going to save him, Izuku tries to learn to be a kid, Tsukauchi and all might try to figure out what to do with the boy with the too familiar quirk, all while the real All For One lurks in the shadows.
Or, or: poor Izuku is a weapon with AFO quirk and can’t catch a break cause for some reason I like to make him suffer

Shouta knew he had to get this kid on his side. This boy is the key to escaping the place. He has access to the laboratory. If he could convince him, maybe he could find a way to help him out. “Midoriya.” He leaned forward, gently pressing his head against the glass separating them. “I need you to help me.”
The boy blinked up at him in confusion. “What? But we’ll both get in trouble. You’ll be more hurt than I would be!” He protested as if the grown man’s safety was more important than his.
“I’m a pro hero, kid,” Shouta quickly silenced him as he spoke. “It’s my job to help those in need. I can handle myself, but I’m not leaving you behind. You’re coming with me whether you like it or not. I will drag your ass if it comes to it.”
OR, After Shouta Aizawa rescues his student during a villain attack, he is captured and finds himself in a cell underground. Izuku Midoriya, a random kid he met, is the only one who can help him escape.
