Summary
Dipper and Mabel talk about Gravity Falls when they’re in Piedmont sometimes. They both feel like it’s their real home, in a way.
It’s odd because they’ve barely spent any time there in the grand scheme of things, but nowhere ever makes them as happy. What they went through was terrifying, but the town of Gravity Falls will always be their favorite place in the whole world.
Life just feels boring without the constant threat of violence from paranormal encounters.
Though maybe life is a bit safer without all that, too.
—
Dipper and Mabel are back in Gravity Falls for their fifth summer. The conditions set by their parents were that they had to have jobs at the mystery shack, but even as the new cashier and handyman, Dipper and Mabel continue on their journey of uncovering the secrets of Gravity Falls.

Summary
Mike has been preparing for tonight. Extensively. He has been preparing for weeks, months almost, with the sole goal of making the teachers’ Christmas party his occasion, the one he has been waiting for since September, when the handsomest man he’s ever seen decided to bless and curse Mike’s life by joining Hawkins High as the new art teacher.
Mike has an embarrassingly huge crush on the new cute art teacher; the Christmas party will surely be his time to shine and conquer him.

Summary
“So. The church?” Miike asked.
“The church.” Will said firmly.
The building radiated with a sort of holy innocence, looking almost untouched and definitely out of place in the Upside Down. Will jiggled the front door handle and groaned. “Locked.” He thought for a moment. “Stand back, Mike.”
Mike did, watching Will back up a few feet. “What are you-”
Will began in a running start before throwing the weight of his body against the door with a bang. The door swung open but Will kept his balance, wincing. “That was loud. And kind of stupid.”
“Are you kidding me?” Mike stared at him in a sort of awe. “I’ve only ever seen people do that in movies. Holy shit. That was epic.”
“Oh shut up.” Will blushed. “It was nothing.” As they made their way into the church, Will took off his jacket, slinging it over his shoulder and stretching out his arm. Mike watched the muscles in his back strain against his t-shirt, his biceps and lats bulge from the simple stretch. Mike swallowed, hard.
“Hey, it’s not too bad in here.”

Summary
I wrote this at like 3:00am based on a dream I had. So.
.Mike was touchy, it was just in his nature.
Maybe that's why, when Mike reached out, hands cupping his own, leaning in close, a murmur of “I miss you, Will. I miss us,” all Will did was squeeze back, the way he always had.
It started off the same as always, something unintentional that Will could brush off, accident touches that slowly grew into something friendly, platonic, normal. The occasional nudge of an elbow to his side, a long look and a hand reaching out to grip his shoulder. Simple. Friendly.
But now?
Now Mike couldn't seem to be able to keep his hands off of him.
It was driving Will crazy.

Summary
“What?”, Will huffs, shaking his head in disbelief. “You know blue does not only equate sadness, right? It is one of the blatantly obvious meanings, sure, but it can also imply tranquility, loyalty, trust, peace, and—"
Shut up, shut up, shut up, the voice in his head screams by now, but one cannot interrupt Will in the middle of one of his art rants. Impossible. No chance. “And with the vastness of the sky or sea, blue is also often associated with distance, longing, yearning, and— stuff.”
“Distance”, Mike echoes, and only then does Will truly understand what he has just admitted into the air freely, completely unprovoked and voluntarily. “Longing. Yearning.”
Obviously, this is the exact moment Robert Smith decides to sing about the fact that it is Friday, and that he is very much in love.
Five times Mike distracts Will from his art assignments with his stupidly flirtatious ways, and one time Will actually needs his help to complete a coursework.

Summary
Will Byers was raised to have the only correct opinions on music ever, actually, and he’s proud to show this off in the music review section of his university's queer student artists’ collective’s relatively popular zine, zine of the times. He actually really enjoys this position–that is, until the president of the zine informs him that he has to review his least favorite band on this earth: The Fellowship of the Ring.
At least his incredibly attractive neighbor in his U.S. history class is gonna go with him on the assignment, right?
Or: A music snob and the frontman of his most-hated local band walk into a bar for a date. It’s either the beginning of a really good joke or a really shitty love story.
