Malon felt the change in the meadow; though it didn’t make any sound, the portal in front of her had a presence that she couldn’t ignore.

Or: the Gods think this is the funniest thing since the time split, and the Chain really should've known Wild wouldn't be gone long.

Summary
Shadow had a few issues with his resurrection. He wasn’t complaining about being brought back just yet, as it’d only been a few weeks, but there were a lot of problems that he simply didn’t have to deal with when he was dead.
The first and most important problem was, of course, that he was without his brothers; in fact, he learned pretty soon after he wasn’t even in the right time period anymore, which was concerning. The second problem was that he had managed to catch the eye of whatever new villain his brothers were fighting and they had been the one to bring him back. Because he couldn’t have a nice resurrection, no, of course not. He had a debt to repay, apparently.
aka: Shadow is brought back by Dark Link. This leads to many problems, the least of which being Dark himself.
Or: three times Shadow pranks the Chain and blames it on someone else, and one time he sort-of owns up to it.

He, like everyone else, was proven very wrong when the Butcher is finally arrested for his crimes, and David Wymack is faced with the undead Butcher's son himself--and his gun.
Or: Wymack is a cop and finds Neil after a raid on his father, and he takes him in.

Summary
Then again, they are considerate, and they are parasites, so he supposes he should just be glad they aren't actively killing him. Or walking him to lakes to drown, or laying eggs in him that will eat his flesh when they hatch, or something equally fatal that other, non-magical, parasites do. The colors only feed off his magic and live in his body. It's not too bad.
Link's colors are parasites, of a sort; it sounds worse than it is.

If there's one thing the heroes know, it's that there's never a guarantee of safety, especially on the other side of an opaque portal. But while they accounted for monsters, poor weather, and unstable terrain, no-one expected to find only water beneath their feet.

"Where's Time?"
The shout echoes over the water and lodges in his chest like a stone, threatening to pull him under. The water is greedy. He twists back to the group, counting heads as he goes: Wild, Four, Hyrule, Legend, Warriors, Sky. Six. Time is nowhere to be seen. Time, who had stepped onto all-but-bottomless water just like the rest of them and been pulled under. Time, who apparently hasn't resurfaced.
Time, who wears a full set of plate armor that weighs almost as much as Four does.
He has only a moment to meet Sky's horrified stare before something blurs between them too quick to see, vanishing beneath the water with barely a sound.
