Rook shivered with delight, cheekbones already pink as he turned his adoring gaze up to Vil’s face. While Rook was unabashed in all of his expressions, Vil was valiantly trying to remain composed despite Rook’s hands rubbing his thighs. “Mon bien-aimé, surely your huntsman is putting on a submissive enough show to not warrant such force, hm?” He tilted his head, kissing Vil's ankle next to his face. “Or does Votre Majesté have other commands for me?”

Malleus starts with silver-lace tansy greens and flowers. "I declare war on you" is certainly an apt message to form the base of his bouquet. Garden daisies mean "I share your sentiments;" they will be perfect for this bouquet as well. Of course, he can't forget to add datura, meaning "calamity"—for that is what he will be to Kingscholar, should it persist in this folly after receiving Malleus's response. He also tucks in a few blue rhododendrons, to represent "danger." They will round out the bouquet nicely. For the rest of the greenery, Malleus can only think to use basil—since it means "hatred," it is the perfect final note for his response.
As much as he had hoped that they could set their differences aside and become friends… Malleus sees now that it was pure foolishness on his part. Clearly, Kingscholar will never think of him as anything other than a thorn in its side to be eliminated.
When Malleus receives a surprise bouquet from Leona Kingscholar, he is flattered—but then he sees it includes a flower he knows as a harbinger of death to fae. So Malleus crafts a bouquet in response, his own declaration of war.
But what if he got the meaning all wrong?

In some curious, disillusioned way, Kalim was like a birthmark to him. A little reminder that he was loved, a little bird that spurred him to keep waking up in the mornings, a little drop of sunlight to keep him warm, another little reason to smile.
A little someone he wanted to at least try to aim for forever with.
But for now, Ruggie grinned. “So now I have three hearts.” He tapped a finger to his chest. “One here.” He tapped his elbow next. “Another one here.”
Then he leaned forward to boop Kalim’s nose. “And my favourite one right here.”

He held out his hands to the boy, palms facing upwards, and the boy slid his own into his. Ruggie felt a tingle dance up his forearms at the contact, and he let out a snicker. “Step one, done. Now, for two—” he jabbed a finger to his own chest “—I’m Ruggie. Ruggie Bucchi. And you are?”
The boy simply stared at him with those wide, cherry eyes for a little longer before his gaze darted away, almost shy. “I’m Kalim. Kalim al-Asim.”

Azul nearly dropped the teacup he was placing down. He considered himself someone who was able to keep his calm in most alarming situations but right now his expression gave away to his clear shock, eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at the boy sitting on his private study couch.
“Would you mind repeating that?”
“I came to offer an equivalent exchange in order to receive your permission to court Floyd.”
“C-” Azul choked on the syllable.
Riddle comes to Azul with an offer and ends up getting far too many people involved in the whole ordeal.
