Faintly showering the blunt snow coated land, the stars floated sparsely through the space.
Dipped higher above the clouds, the moon coveted for a colder night than the morning temperatures could reach.
The sun had retreated far earlier into the days as the seasons blended to winter months.
Reeked by the retched screams of the local daily hunt, the echoes of the night infused into the clashes of iron against rotten flesh drew closer by the few minutes that had passed.
Resting beneath the corroding floors of stone sit the corpses of the dead, though the living stated above are soon close to resting there to.
Dishevelled frost lamp flowers lay trampled by the headstones only waiting for their turns next.
It feels fitting.
The living fall into an endless cycle of birth, fighting and death. They duel against the hunt only out to get them and die early at the same place they were destined to get to eventually. -

Summary
Varka's military contract requires him to be temporarily stationed in Nod-Krai, since those lands are an object of constant conflicts between Mondstadt and Shneznaya.
As a high rank officer, he is allowed to live outside of the barracks and finds himself a nice apartment in a quiet neighborhood. He quickly makes friends with everyone but this one neighbor who is rarely seen leaving his lot - a mysterious middle-aged man with a noble aura to him. What secret is this person hiding and why does he avoid any human interaction? Obviously, the ever nosy Varka can't help wanting to learn more about him and will use any opportunity to do so. Even more so, once he learns the neighbor in question is totally his type.

Summary
In the midst of the night, long after Flins allowed himself to relax from the stress of the Wild Hunt, the moon rises into the dim sky--bathed in crimson blood and bringing a thick fog amongst Teyvat. In the span of a day, it twists anyone who dares wander below its gaze into horrors beyond imagination.
(Or: Genshin infection au, whereas those caught in the Blood Moon's sights are twisted into morbid monsters, and Flins drives himself mad with desperation to find his love.)
