Wind blows on Aventurine's face, making him close his eyes to reminisce his last moments before ending it all. "So why cant't i be happy? Why can't I feel that free?"
He spreads his arms, waiting for the goddess Gaiathra or the Emanator of Nihility to take him away.But everytime he thought that he made it to reunite with his family, he will always be awake in the dream pool with tears flowing down his cheek.
"I .. want to meet them.. I hate this world and I truly wish the destroy it...."Ratio on the other hand, has always been wary of the gambler's selfless act. He truly cares about Aventurine and will do whatever it takes to make sure he is breathing in front of Ratio.

Aventurine is nowhere to be found in the dreamscape. Ratio waited for a couple of system hours in golden hour, hoping that the man would come to him like a lost puppy and say something stupid like "You didn't have to" or "You call that help?" but he never showed up. Not admitting that he is worried, he still got his legs to move and look for him.

This had not been the purpose of Veritas' visit to Aventurine’s office. They were to discuss the necessary preparations of an upcoming assignment. It was something about the weather conditions on the planet or if they would need gravitational adjustment medication. Veritas could not remember, he could not even truly compute how Aventurine had him lying naked on the desk in the first place.

“What is the meaning of this?” Ratio asked, just like the stern professor many viewed him as. He sat back down, apparently dismissive.
“Hm. Me?” Aventurine pushed a hand against his chest in mock shock. “Isn’t this office hours, Professor?” — Ratio’s cheeks were a very pretty hue of pink, the tips of his ears fully red — “Please, Professor?” Aventurine said. “I know my grades have been dropping since last semester, but…” he paused, tilting his head lower so that his lashes would frame his eyes prettily. “I want to do something about it. Will you help me, Professor?”
“…I don’t know what made you think this would work, but I do not take bribes, Miss.”
Aventurine’s smile sharped for a fraction of a moment, before assuming a more coy attitude. “Please, Professor. Can’t you make an exception… just for me?”

Aventurine nods, curiously waiting for Ratio to elaborate. Is Ratio planning to read to him? That is the sort of activity Ratio would consider leisurely, albeit rather mundane. Still, Aventurine muses, Ratio does have a pleasant voice, so it wouldn't be so bad.
With a determined nod, Ratio extends his hand expectantly, the other hovering over the book he had placed on the ladder earlier. After a moment's hesitation, Aventurine accepts.
As Ratio's hand touches the book, Aventurine feels a sudden lurch, and that's all the warning he gets before they're falling.
