Conceived in fire, by her mother Varang. Her mother, who had stepped into it, offered one last prayer to Eywa, the false goddess. A prayer to not starve her people, a prayer to let her forest survive, her hometree to stay strong. But Eywa never came. Ewya let her parents die. Let her people, the ones who tried to run away, starve.
Instead of dying in the bruning fire, Varang survived the days in it. While she couldn’t say how, it must have had something to do with her walking in alone and walking out pregnant. Without harm.
That's when Varang and the ones that survived knew; Fire was the only pure thing. Eywa a weakness.
Twenty-one years later, Ash'ira was strong, mean, and resistant to fire or heat. It was never hot. Never burned her skin. She walked in it, knowing she was the fire. She was the destruction. She was dangerous.
But even the hottest fire could burn out. Or get bigger. Especially when a certain marine in an avatar body leads her further on the way of destruction. And when he gives her weapons, that would bring her the throne to Pandora.
Yet, she might not have noticed that Eywa always had bigger plans for her all along.
