the room felt uncomfortably stuffy and frozen at those few words that left the doctors mouth. izukus smile felt forced and strained, twitching to barely hold itself up anymore. he knew tears were falling down his freckled cheeks based on the cold, numb and stinging feeling that was left behind each tear drop.
it was okay though, he'd be okay. he knew his mommy wouldn't be mad, he could still be a hero. he was always her little hero, quirk or no quirk.

deku needed a break from everyone else, and if that meant bending the dorm rooms to leave passed curfew, he will. though, during his short late night break meant gaining an unexpected visitor on the rooftop. yet, deku couldn't find it in himself to be too concerned about the sudden visit that should be a threat.
or, deku needs to get away from life for a while and he goes on top of a rooftop building, but runs into shigaraki. they have a small, brotherly bonding while sharing trauma.

"hey asshole! why the hell- hell.." there was a ridge lull in the air, as bakugos red eyes trembled with an unfamiliar emotion. midoriya could see how the explosive blonde throughout the few seconds he was on the call, grew paler, and paler, until his skin shinned with sweat dripping down his forehead. he could see how bakugo breaths sucked in, as if he was trying to be quiet and.. midoriya only seen his bakugo like this during a horrible part of their shared childhood. and, they both, silently had agreed to never mention it, to act like it never happened.
because it was easier to pretend they never went through the pain that his dad put the two of them together. on most days, it almost worked. most days he fooled himself. he just stuck with the bullshit, naive, lie his mother gave him that his dad is overseas somewhere and giving them money. its unhealthy, but no one said that what was doing was particularly good for him either.
or, izuku gets an unexpected call from his father.
