Here is what Rumi knows.
(She's been doing that a lot. Cataloging what she does and doesn't know. A very useful trait when you wake up with no memories of who you are, how you got there, and an ache in your chest, like someone is squeezing your heart, that won't go away no matter what you do and the complex series of emotions that play out whenever she sees notes signed by Celine.)
She knows she is very good with a sword, but none on the weapon rack in the garden shed feels right.
She knows she wakes with the sun, mediates and goes through sword forms and tends to the garden. She knows this because she is blinking herself awake half-way through the katas before her mind is really awake and sometimes muscle memory is so strong she is a stranger in her own body.She knows she is missing something.
or: Rumi wakes up with no memory of who she was, until two strangers camp in the woods and sing the melody she won't stop hearing.

Summary
Unlike what it is known, Celine wasn’t the one who chose Mira and Zoey, to build HUNTR/X around Rumi.
It all started when they were applicants in an audition which they never even intended to apply in the first place.
Rumi was struggling with her heritage of being half demon, doubting if she was even a Hunter. Rumi was completely uninterested in the audition.
Mira was disowned and kicked out from her family, she was an angry teenager with countless inner wounds. Mira was desperate to pass the audition.
Zoey was an energetic and bubbly girl on the outside, but inside she was falling apart from her two lives. Zoey was hoping and struggling through the audition.
It was obvious from the start that they wouldn’t get along. Also the audition was becoming an overwhelming challenge to them. Especially when there was an imposter who lies, she was Ryu Miyeong’s daughter and Celine’s ward. While Rumi hides who she is, she starts to care for Mira and Zoey, then plans to make Mira and Zoey into Hunters chosen by the Honmoon.
A story of three girls from outcasts to becoming HUNTR/X.

Her silky black hair was pulled back into an intricate braid, her smile curved up at the edge just as it always had. It looked as if the years hadn’t touched her. But when Celine looked into her eyes there was no warmth, no recognition. There couldn’t be, not when this wasn’t Mi-yeong.
Rumi made a small, choked sound. Somewhere half-way between a gasp and a sob, “Eomma?”
