Third year at Camp Half-Blood.
The Titan’s Curse, the event that should’ve happened last winter, never came. It was delayed by an entire year. Maybe because of my interference in last year’s quest. Or maybe because there are now two other players in the game: Jacob Winston (Jake) and Jennifer Redwood (Jen), two demigods just like me.
I can’t escape my past anymore. It’s starting to haunt me in ways I never imagined. Can I keep my head straight with everything unraveling around me?
Once again, I found myself dragged into a quest that was never meant to be mine. Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, asked me to join her in rescuing Artemis. I didn’t want to, every instinct told me I’d break the story even further. But I couldn’t forget Bianca di Angelo and Zoë Nightshade. If there’s even a chance I can change their fate, I have to try.
But with Kronos whispering in my mind, can I really do it? Especially when the Titan King dangles the final piece of the puzzle before me, the truth that some gods blocked my memories of my first arrival in this world.
And when that truth finally comes out…

Summary
Basically Hades going insane and getting the villain arc he deserves, Percy being more traumatised, the Gods being significantly nicer, and Percy having new divine heritage and, therefore, being far more overpowered.
Also, yes, I did delete the old version of this. That one was just riddled with mistakes and I was honestly quite ashamed of it, so I'm making a second attempt at this rewrite. It is essentially making things just a bit more realistic (yes, I know realistic in a world with demigods and monsters doesn't make sense but hear me out). Also, the main character is actually named Percy this time, and Lily and Pete Davison were swapped out for Gabe and Lily Ugliano.

Cordelia was not Percy.
Seemed obvious, but every other monster seemed to conflate them since her claiming, and, well, she was an easier (weaker) target for them to take their grudges out on. It probably shouldn’t have stung as much as it did – not only was Percy an adult, with more than enough years of practice under his belt to outdo some gods, let alone halfbloods, but he was also a recognised once-in-a-generation kind of talent. No one could really measure up to him.
It was just a little closer to home when people assumed she’d be closer to his level than she was.

Annabeth can't waste time to explain them and coax them into leaving. She was the one that brought them here, with foolish hope of her mother helping them. So she was the one who bore the consequences of it, not them.
“Someone has to stay back to slow her down and buy everyone some time.” She clarifies.
Percy is shaking his head, not wanting to move without taking her along.
“Wait.” He says urgently.
Then he pulls his sword, which was currently in its pen form, and uncaps it. The sword materialises in his hand. He then holds the hilt towards her, giving it to her.
“Take this.” He says expectantly.
She didn't stop to think why he would give her the sword. Maybe that was her mistake.
He pulls her arm and pushes her in his place and slams the exit door shut.

Percy Jackson delivered the head of Medusa to the Olympians without too much of a thought. Annabeth and Grover called him impertinent, and he was. Percy just wasn't expecting his dad to actually defend him for it. Or save him from the consequences of it.

Or Hermes brings a delivery for the gods and a certain goddess is embarrassed in front of the entire council. The goddess of wisdom is known for not allowing for mortals to make a mockery of her. However, the god of the seas is possibly more known for not being too kind to those who wish harm against his children. After all, Percy wouldn't be Poseidon's son if he wasn't a bit impertinent.
