Well, fake married but the gods, mostly Hera and your Father, insisted upon doing it ‘properly’—whatever that meant.
You gaze into the mirror of your ‘pre-marriage’ bedroom, the proper name for it escaping you as you adjust the clasp of your himation. The beautiful clothing was a gift from Piper, since she was acceptable to Thanatos and Hera to be considered family, when it had first begun.
You'd accepted it after much insistence and some huffing at you not liking Piper's gift, of which you'd been quick to reassure wasn’t the case.
Which was apparently her plan because Piper had immediately grinned, shoving the himation into your arms and saying that you just had to take it, since you liked it so much.
You had gone along with it, grumbling half-heartedly. You could respect a good game played, even if you didn’t exactly like it.
