Several months had passed since Gale’s marriage to Mystra ended, and the idea of diving back into the dating world held little appeal. After a series of disastrous first dates arranged by well-meaning friends, Gale reluctantly agreed to try out a new dating app, only to discover it was more geared toward casual hook-ups than finding a meaningful relationship.
Despite his initial reservations, Gale spent an evening testing the app, scrolling through profiles until he paused on one that caught his eye - a stunning, pale elf with the username Starlight69. On impulse, he marked the profile as a favourite and decided to call it a night. But just as he was about to put his phone away, a message from Starlight69 appeared on his screen…

It's 1980-something and the eclectic band Astarion and The Misfits has enjoyed moderate success so far. But as the band heads out on their first national tour, lead singer/songwriter Astarion is falling apart.
His traumatic past is catching up to him and it's getting harder to hide his worsening cocaine habit from his band. The only time he feels something approaching okay is when he's writing music, or around his keyboardist and best friend, Gale.

Astarion's unlikely escape from Cazador has him holing up in the Lower City, working nights at the local pizza place. Things are going just about as fine as they could for a person in hiding, when a new shift lead gets hired on - a chef, ready to make some changes.Astarion is not a fan of change.

Gale of Waterdeep is a chosen of Mystra, he is an archmage, and now he is starting out as the new Palace wizard to the king of Cormyr. What Gale did not expect was for the king's wild magic sorceress daughter to be so... fascinating.
With the sun casting golden hues over the spires of the royal palace, Gale guided his steed through the towering gates, his heart thrumming with anticipation, and no small amount of nerves. His robes, embroidered with intricate arcane sigils, billowed slightly in the breeze as he dismounted with practiced ease, though his fingers fidgeted at the edges of his sleeves. A deep breath steadied him; this was it.
A pair of guards clad in polished armour stepped forward, their expressions unreadable beneath their helms until one recognized the insignia upon Gale’s cloak, the mark of Mystra’s favour. With a respectful bow, they ushered him inside, where the grand hall stretched before him, its vaulted ceilings adorned with banners bearing the crest of the Royals of Cormyr. He is the new palace wizard, the keeper of knowledge in the library, the consultant of the Weave, the arcane practitioner, the magic advisor to the King, a chosen of Mystra herself. -

Astarion had served Cazador for over fifteen years after the head of the local human trafficking ring "saved" him from the streets of Baldur's Gate when he was just seventeen.
Since then he went through and participated in more depravities than he liked to admit, but even Astarion has a limit. When he thought he could be forced into anything, he draws the line at harming children.
Escaping Cazador Palace is not as simple as walking out the door though. Luckily, he has the number of a very cute physicist. Hopefully, Gale's willing to help a pretty face from the past.
