Summary
Ten year in Arkham gives a man a lot of time to think and reflect. Ed came to some tentative, fragile conclusions during that time- and they strengthened the moment he laid eyes on Oswald after that terrible decade apart.
The confession itself is immaterial. It's the response that truly matters. And he knows Oswald so well, he's ready for however it may go.
Right?
(Currently a One-Shot but I have ideas for prequels and sequels which may or may not come later. I just love writing fics where Ed actually like, experiences some emotional consequences to all of his pushing Oswald away)

College certainly wasn’t Bruce Wayne’s idea. If he had his way, he would immediately have started working for his father once he graduated high school. It’s not that he doesn’t love learning, because of course he does, but what he doesn’t love is people. College is a way too social experience for him to be comfortable. But his father and Alfred insisted. Because college is a “great way to find yourself and your people.” He hasn’t done either of those things and it’s already been a year. Sometimes he feels like there is nothing to find within himself. Whatever was there died the night his mother did.
OR: an AU in which Bruce attends Gotham University at the request of his father and makes some unexpected friends along the way.

The Riddler is a drama queen, Zsasz offers sass instead of stabbings and Oswald is rapidly losing his patience and his mind. Honestly, he just wants a drink—and maybe for someone to turn Ed back into an ice cube.

Summary
Gordon might be one of the only (relatively) nice co-workers that Edward has, and Ed can't help but appreciate that. Not everyone is lucky enough to have an attractive man on their side, especially in a place like Gotham. Let alone a man against corruption like Gordon is. This would of course mean that Edward enjoys Gordon's presence.
If you'd ask Riddler? Well, Edward might be good at blinding himself from things unless they're obvious, but he's not. And he'd rather Ed not fall for someone who can't even pick a side.
