She looked amazing, and whilst he'd never admit it, Jeff wished it was him who'd stepped forward to offer Shepard his arm instead of Kaidan.

This is an updated version of a fic I wrote back in 2019 as part of an iPod Shuffle Challenge; the idea was to have songs come on at random, and to write short scenes only during the duration of the song. I've tried to reordered the pieces to make a more cohesive story, but have not added anything additional to the 'chapters'.

It wasn’t the same as when he’d made that long walk before, limping past the all-too-able-bodied flight crew. No feeling of self-consciousness now. Just tension, flickering from person to person, and Rhi — Shepard — in the middle like a grounding rod.
Shit, they even looked at him as if he knew what to do.
The reapers were here. The criminals, vindicated.
