Acrid air filters through my breather, the smell of burning flesh filling my nostrils, the cries of the soldiers under my command as I send them to their deaths as we fight a battle of revenge. Gallons of Batarian blood cover my armor, their guts strewn around the battlefield. By the end of the battle both sides have taken losses, ours just happen to be less, those of us still alive will carry new scars that mark our being here, both external and internal.
