It's been a little less than a year since Louis was rescued from the livestock tower by Ibuki, and brought to live at Oguma's mansion. Ibuki really wants to make their first Rexmas as a family special.
And by the next year, San and Kyuu now have their own little families at the mansion, and they're parents all decide to take a special Rexmas trip for the children (and Ibuki) to see snow for the first time.

It's been a while but here's a story I've been working on for quite a while now. This story takes place after the main events of Beastars. Kyuu wanting to have an actual home and encouraged to interact with other animals is encouraged by both Louis and Gouhin to find a place. She comes to an all Rabbit underground apartment known as the Burrow. However she doesn't realize that an ancient organization has been guiding her like a puppet. Especially when she is chosen for an experiment meant to elevate certain herbivore species.

30 years ago, the Sublime Beastar put forth a military draft to control healthy male carnivores of sufficient size. The Shishigumi work for Oguma as conscripts for his personal guard. But Louis is about to start working for Horns, and the government insists he takes on a carnivore bodyguard of his own - a 'partner.' Louis bitterly takes on Legosi. Louis and Legosi have to work through their messy, complicated feelings, to figure out how this relationship is actually supposed to work - and also how Louis really feels about carnivores in general.
(TLDR: A hopepunk take on Louis and Legosi dramatically changing society for the better and gaining a whole extended lion family in the process.)

When he needs a new partner, Ibuki is proposed as the most deserving… even if it’s obvious that the lion has his own struggles…
