Mapic rolled his eyes, “I got captured. That pretty much cancels out any scary or impressive reputation I used to have.”
“No, it adds to it,” Bacon argued, “You were captured and survived. And now you have important intel for them! We have things we can barter with, it’s not like we’re going into this with zero leverage.”
In other words, everyone is a fairy and everyone is at war and everything is broken but Bacon is on a mission to fix it. Or at least fix Mapic's wings. The one thing that matters.
