Almost a decade has passed since Luz the Human saved the Boiling Isles from the mad Emperor Bellos (aka Philip Whittebane) and brought peace to the realm. The reconstruction has been long and strenuous, but it seems that the Boiling Isles is finally, after nearly 400 years, returning to a sense of normalcy. But the emperor was not the only threat to the realm, nor was he anywhere near the greatest. Beyond the isles, other beasts stir in their eternal slumber, the mysterious Archivists watch on from the void in the sky, but perhaps the greatest of all remains the mortals who continue to meddle in the affairs of these god-like beings. It is precisely this meddling that strands Luz in a realm beyond the stars and draws in a new human to the demon realm. A human much worse off than Luz ever was in Gravesfield.

And Mattholomule.
Gus isn’t one to judge someone by their cover, but Mattholomule hasn’t made a great impression. He constantly copies his answers, annoys him at any possible chance he can get, and has presented himself as a mean jerk.
But after the day prior, when he recently learned about him having a job and his artistic hobby, it made Gus question if there was more to his rival than he initially assumed.
