When Ciel Phantomhive presented as an Omega, a dark creature rose from the depth of hell.
Of course the young boy didn't know about it, he didn't know anything of what his future had in store for him.
His servants brought him far, far away from his home since as an Omega, it was too dangerous for him to stay there. He shouldn't have presented as an Omega. The entirety of the Aristocracy was already making plans about how to destroy the Phatomhive family, now that a "weak, useless" Omega was at their top. A shame. Embarrassing. Humiliating for the whole Aristocracy.
Ciel had to leave as fast as possible right after his first heat, his loyal servants bringing him to a boarding school where he would be safe for the time being.
An Alpha with pitch black hair greeted him right at the front gates, wearing a dark cloak, a perfectly fitting suit and a neat tie.
Who would have thought that Ciel was greeted by the devil in disguise ?

Sebastian and Ciel have enjoyed being closer than typical master and servant as of late, but they both mistakenly think that the other resents the proximity at the hotel.

“Is there a problem?” asked Ciel.
Sebastian looked up at him. “Somewhat. I have a concern about our sleeping arrangements.”
“You seemed upset that we were roomed too closely.” Ciel remained aloof as he pulled his robe tighter around himself. The last thing he wanted was to show that the disdain at their proximity hurt him in any way.
“Hmm, I was surprised that the hotel would house all of their noble guests and servants in such a manner, but my concern is the opposite. Although it's only the other side of the wall, it makes me uneasy to leave you in here alone while we still don't know the details of this place.”
Ciel blinked as he processed what Sebastian was implying. For some reason, it made his chest feel warm. “You’d like to stay here instead?”
Sebastian nodded, not meeting Ciel’s eyes. “I can’t force you to be okay with the intrusion, but I think it’s the wisest option.”
How could he think that? “It isn’t an intrusion."

The Queen's Watchdog is coming down with the flu (or something), but it will be a cold day in Hell before he admits it! There's a case to conclude, appearances to uphold, and no time for lying about in bed. All the while, Sebastian does his best to care for his stubborn & frustrating young master.
A slice-of-life sick fic, as canon-compliant as I can make it, set roughly between Book of Murder and Book of the Atlantic, but with a few nods to things later revealed in the series.

A smile appears on her mother's lips like a slow dawn. The little girl always thought her mother was the most beautiful person she had ever seen, with his hair the most peculiar shade of slate grey, his sapphire eyes, his delicate features, and his elegant demeanor. Even wearing old, worn clothes that didn't quite fit his thin body, he looked as dignified as a nobleman. Still, on the rare occasions when he smiled, always directed at her, his beauty increased exponentially.
Her mother pulled her to his chest where he hugged her tightly. The little girl relished the warm touch, burying her head in her mother's neck, inhaling his distinctive scent, which reminded her of warmth and nurture, and soothed her just as it had when she was a baby.
"Someday we'll leave here, darling," he whispered against her hair, as if holding onto hope had to remain a secret. "And you can have all the dresses you want and attend all the parties you can."
"When is someday?"
"Someday is... when your father comes for us," he murmured, resting his head against hers.

It didn’t have to be like this, but it is, sadly. The doctors have stated it wouldn’t take long for this strange disease to spread throughout her whole body before eventually killing her with no such thing as remorse crossing its mind, initially giving her the title of ‘living dead girl’ amongst the small town of London; the fading Princess of the Land. Ciel, at the Queen’s request, is tasked with being her guide whilst she uses these last few months of life as an excuse to travel abroad and experience such things she won’t be able to after five months.

At first, they were regular looters. The Phantomhive mansion was supposed to be cinders, as far as anyone else knew, a deserted river of ash from which to pan their heirloom gold. Yes, their initial raiders had been purely opportunists. Unsuspecting and unarmed vagabonds, the strays who didn’t anticipate needing more than a knife and a quick hand, if that.
Sebastian had disbanded them all with ease, of course.
They stopped coming unarmed.

Ciel waited until he was inside the foyer to take a few deep breaths, eyes closing for a moment.
He’d killed someone.
He was eleven.
He’d killed before— but only with the shadow which spread out from his feet, his back to the light, the mass of darkness cast by him much larger than his frail form.
It was fitting that he cast this shadow. It only mirrored its master.
