Every person at the table leaned forward at that. Even the smallest thread of hope was enough to pull them closer.
Timmy swallowed, his gaze darting between the two royals. “A weapon?” he echoed. “But how? Domino was destroyed five centuries ago. Any technology—”
“—would be prehistoric,” Tecna finished, one brow lifting in practiced skepticism.
Diaspro and Sky exchanged a glance. Sky’s throat bobbed as he swallowed.
“She doesn’t believe it’s a physical weapon.”
Riven, who had been silent until now, scoffed softly. “Then what other kind of weapon is there?”
