Summary
When Uzumaki Kushina dies sealing the Kyuubi, her final act sends her newborn son, Naruto, not to Konoha's orphanage or trusted guardian like the Toad Sannin, but to the last Uzumaki she can reach: Sasori of the Red Sand.
Seven years later, Chikamatsu Nagi is a perfectly normal Suna academy student. Except for the demon sealed in his gut. And the fact that his father is a sociopathic puppet master slowly turning himself into art. And his great-grandmother has an unfortunate habit of poisoning dinner. And Konoha has no idea their jinchuriki is alive.
When a routine mission goes catastrophically wrong, the careful lies that keep Nagi safe begin to unravel and Sasori learns that caring about something makes you vulnerable in ways no amount of turning into a living puppet could protect against.

Sasuke was born weeks before the fall of civilization. Safe behind the walls of his family’s property, he had no reason to fear the zombies outside of it. Yet as the undead make their way in and life becomes less certain, his family’s ‘gifts’ soon threaten to become more of a curse.

That’s my personal philosophy for this AU. Minato and Shisui survived—but that means someone else who should’ve lived in canon didn’t. This isn’t a fix-it where everyone gets a happy ending; it’s a fractured mirror of the original.

She lingered for a moment longer, memorizing his face, his scent. Then she gently freed herself from his grasp and slipped away.

She pressed a final kiss to his forehead, then vanished, into the same silence and mystery from which she had appeared.
In his sleep, Lee stirred, his hand brushing his chest.

After Orochimaru’s failed attack on the Leaf, the Sand Siblings were sent to aid Shikamaru’s squad against the Sound Five as a gesture of peace. That mission was the last time Temari and Shikamaru saw each other. Then came war. The Akatsuki declared it. The Sand joined them. And now, years later, Temari is sent to assassinate Konoha’s top strategist.
