Summary
Qymaen jai Sheelal is a troubled young padawan, bitter at his master, the ruthless Dark Woman, and jealous of his best and only real friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi; he is far from the model Jedi. His only saving grace is the immense power which he holds in the form of Force visions of the future that plague him every night. Yet in every other aspect, from wisdom to skill, Qymaen is lagging behind his peers, which only serves to fuel the darkness growing inside of him. That darkness will finally come to the surface at the onslaught of the Huk War, when Qymaen will be forced to face the world he'd left behind and a destiny that he can never truly escape from.
An AU story following Legends continuity while merging the old MMP with the Clone Wars (2008) by fixing most of the retcons while preserving the new characters. Instead of becoming Grievous, Qymaen is born Force-sensitive, found and trained by the Jedi Order, but even in the hands of the Jedi, destiny pulls him towards suffering and despair, almost as if his very soul was cursed from the start.

Summary
Obi-Wan Kenobi was once a tool to “heal” an adult, then a slave, then a child soldier, and remains a failure. He refuses to let other children be slaves, child soldiers, used as pawns in the snarly, bloody troubles of adults, or deemed failures despite their best efforts. So he assigns himself an additional mission on top of the on-going mission: Give as many children as possible better lives whenever he can help it, which is most if not all the times.
Well, he has to add another mission, after that has been determined: Detach the children from him and prevent them from adopting him as a parent.
Especially when, in the very first mission he undertakes after returning from Mandalorian Space, a Mandalorian child got attached to him.

Under his faceplate, Grievous smiled a smug, triumphant smile that reached his eyes. It made the female Kaleesh hate him even more.“I’m going to ask you again,” Grievous took a few steps nearer, lowering his head to look her in the eye, “what is your name?”
She continued to glare daggers at the General for a moment, too stubborn to comply with his request. But then he held up the controller for her shock collar, reminding her that he was now calling the shots. She tried to snatch it from his hand, but missed as Grievous jerked it out of reach. In response, she growled in frustration while Grievous only chuckled to himself.
“Ronderu.” She finally said. “My name is Ronderu.”

Given an important mission to unite the Outer Rim territories, Jedi Knight Avera Neva and her Padawan learner Nimfa travel to the planet of Kalee to attempt to convince the people there to ally with The Republic and unite all systems.
Nimfa learns the treatment of the Kaleesh people is caused by aid given to their enemies, The Yamr'ii from the planet Huk. Discovering this, she finds it is the Republic who is aiding in their attack, further souring her view of her fellow Jedi.
As she battles with her decision to help the people of Kalee or stay loyal to The Jedi Order, she befriends many others who help cement her decision. Being greatly disliked by the town's Chieftain causes her to want to befriend him, but perhaps it becomes more than friendship in the end…
