Mira plunged her spear through the wall diving the cockpit and the main cabin, and Zoey latched onto Mira’s waist as Rumi attempted to steer the plane towards the Han River. A few seconds later, the left wing was torn off, sending the jet into a spin. Rumi crashed into the windshield with a cry of pain, flailing her arms in an attempt to grab onto something as the plane fell faster. As the right wing was torn off, the plane shifted, and Rumi was thrown into the windshield again with a horrible crunch before disappearing through the opening.

16 year old Rumi screamed at her mother's grave, questioning if life was even worth it, the future looked impossible now. The patterns burned all over her body, angry and glowing, the image of Celine's disgust playing like a broken record. How could the two other parts of her soul, the other hunter's that she didn't even know yet, accept her? How could she seal the Honmoon looking like a monster?
Before Rumi could do something drastic, the Honmoon helps her teleport all the way to Burbank California. Right to a certain bubbly girl named Zoey.

Rumi has to survive the United States with the help of Zoey, while trying to be a Demon Hunter. Navigating Public School as a sheltered Home School kid, trying to act normal as her demon traits pop up at the sniff of heightened emotions, and worse of all the growing feels she has for Zoey and the Foreign Exchange student Mira. Oh well worse might be the demons that still want to eat everyone but Rumi can kill them at least.

Every since the end of puberty, Rumi has gone into heat every December without fail. Celine plans around this, making sure the HUNT/X girls are away, and no one is around Rumi. The isolation will be worth it, Celine knows because they are so close to turning the Honmoon gold, it won't matter soon.
Then the Busan photo shoot with Vogue cancels, and Celine breaking every traffic law there is to be to the penthouse before Mira and Zoey. The lie must be preserved for the Honmoon.OR
Celine gets chewed out for hiding something about Rumi from Mira and Zoey. The two have to discover for themselves what the secret is because Celine can't be completely honest.
Now with the truth out, Rumi will never have to be alone when her demon is a needy beast

Well. This is harder than them just killing her, Rumi thinks. Maybe she shouldn’t be surprised, because Zoey has always enjoyed the hunt, performing each fight like it’s a sort of game of cat-and-mouse, and this is...the same thing, Rumi thinks. Just another demon to be dealt with.
“Rumi,” Mira presses, her voice closer than it had been.
Rumi almost wants to laugh. Great. The world’s worst cat-and-mouse game, where they’re apparently treating her like a friend before they kill her. That’s great. Celine would be so proud that they’re fulfilling all their hunter duties of taking care of each other while killing demons.
“Rumi, I need you to talk to me,” Zoey says, her voice getting a little more insistent. “Can you tell me how long you’ve had these?”
“Forever,” Rumi rasps out, because, well, they’ve caught her. She’s been effortlessly caught in a trap, and there’s no use trying to gnaw off her own arm to escape it. She’s tried before; her patterns exist beyond just branding on her skin.
