Okarun starts the day early at Kami High School, finishing homework on the bench outside. He casually spots a strange crimson-black streak in the pre-dawn sky and thinks it's cool (a meteor or satellite), then goes back to his paper. Something watches
Momo gives Okarun a special oversized heart-shaped strawberry cookie in class. "Don't get the wrong idea, idiot... it's leftover". Okarun is genuinely touched it's his first Valentine's treat ever and thanks her sincerely. Momo blushes, calls him "four-eyes," punches his shoulder lightly, and flees in embarrassment. It silently watches and records every moment of their awkward, unspoken affection.

Summary
Ken Takakura didn't matter.
He repeated this to himself like a mantra, embracing how his feet were curved into something more primal and fit for running. How he propelled himself into The Fairytale Card with a 3rd All-Out, the weight of its form breaking underneath him. As Okarun sucked in a sharp breathe in between a mouthful of teeth that were too-sharp, he could taste his own blood fall onto his tongue, still warm and fresh.
The moment his transformation faded, it was like someone set a match to his skin, seeping under his muscles as gravity took hold and made him collapse. He braced himself against the cold pavement, gritting his teeth together at how his arms were trembling.
Miss Ayase wasn't out yet. They weren't finished.

Everything feels so dreamy to Momo, being on a romantic honeymoon with the love of her life, holding her in his arms. Entering the master bedroom, Momo's breath hitched. A sprawling king-size bed adorned with white sheets and rose petals. Two flutes of champagne and a fruit basket sit on a trunk at the foot of the bed. A gentle breeze from the sliding patio door came through, filling the room with a warm, sweet tropical scent as the moonlight bathed the room in a hazy glow of silver and blue. It was as if the scene came straight out of a romance novel that she got to live out in real life with her now husband.

"Isn't there a rule 'bout needing a kiss, or you get cursed, or something..?" Momo mumbled, not-so-subtly scooting closer to him. "I mean…. the last thing you need is another curse, so…"
Okarun wasn't all familiar with the rules and traditions of mistletoe, truthfully. Sure, it typically required a kiss, but for what reason, he did not know. Maybe she was just trying to mess with him. Or… could there really be some truth to what she was saying? He hoped not, but crazier things did happen to them…
"Um. What type of kiss?" He wasn't stupid. There wasn't exactly anyone else who'd be around to give him one, anyways. And hopefully, it would be enough of an out for her in case she didn't even want to.
"Well it's not specific. I don't know if on the cheek would be good or not. Up to you…" Momo glanced at him, brushing her bangs out of her face. Her lips were upturned as she looked away, just a tiny speck of red that began to tint her ears.

"I… heard you mumbling to yourself." Momo finally spoke up. "I thought you'd quiet down, so I didn't do anything, but, erm…. then you said my name. Sorta like. Like a moan."
Okarun hunched his shoulders up and ducked his head. This was it. He was going to get tossed out of her house, and she'd never talk to him again. "I'm sorry."
"No! Don't apologize!" The sternness in her tone startled him, making him jump as his eyes quickly searched for her's. "Look dude, I'm not tryin' to like… shame you, or whatever." At this, she took a seat on his futon and exhaled. "Gimme a sec, this ain't easy to ask."
"Ask… what, exactly?" He whispered. The anticipation was killing him. If she wasn't upset with him, then… what exactly was happening?
"I said gimme a second!" Momo turned back to glare at him, but there was no really heat in it. She shut her eyes and brushed her bangs out of her face. "Did you… need help? Down there..?"
