Howard Jones spent his whole life following orders, from Operations Just Cause and Desert Storm as a member of SEAL Team Six, a CIA black bag and Ground Branch operative, a CIA Treadstone/Blackbriar operative, a 3rd/4th Echelon Splinter Cell, to a Baltimore PD patrol officer, SWAT commander, and homicide detective.
Still, all of that doesn't change the fact that he needed a fresh start and decided to leave the country to find a purpose to atone for the actions that he carried out in Treadstone and Blackbriar, as well as an incident that happened when he was a cop.

This is the second version of my fan-fiction sequel to Splinter Cell: Blacklist and follows the events of the Splinter Cell: Firewall novel. Unlike version 1 of Megiddo, this version takes place specifically in the Tom Clancy universe, and does not take place in a shared universe with the Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry series. I am doing this because I wanted to try and make the story more realistic and faithful to the actual games.
