This is basically me coping with the finale. I have no idea if i’ll continue this but i’ll try too!
Context- Roper found out about pine’s operation from a tip off from the British government. Same day, Pine went to inform teddy about the way Roper actually thinks about him (the whole scene in ep 4 i think.) After letting teddy know, Pine found out that roper now knows about his operation and could find him anytime but for some reason he can’t leave without teddy. He knows roper will try to hurt teddy and if that happens pine couldn’t live with himself. -

Jonathan studies Teddy’s features, he discovers some faint facial scars here and there. The details that transfixed him on that humid evening in Cartagena, Jonathan can now finally touch. His resemblance with Roper is also much more glaring now he could see it up close. Hatred, guilt, fear, lust, sympathy, nostalgia… all that triggers within him, metamorphosing into something else.
Jonathan and Teddy’s feelings towards Roper, and each other, have interwoven like the fates of two star-crossed lovers. A sisyphean task to untangle, it can only be left as is.

I did not exactly enjoy the way the second season ended, tbh that is a bit of an understatement. So here is an alternative way things could have gone.
Jonathan is frozen in time. Panic crawling up is neck as the Cabreras open the container. It wasn’t possible, there was no way. The plane had been diverted. It simply couldn’t be. For a brief second a terrible thought crossed his mind: Teddy. Had he misjudged him? Had he trusted too carelessly, because he had wanted their connection to be true. Had he wanted it so badly? Had he dammed himself and this entire operation by trusting a coldblooded killer?
OR: Teddy, Jonathan and Tavo make it out alive but are hurt in the process and have to navigate Columbia on their own. Hiding from Roper until the wounds have healed.
