My footsteps echoed down the corridor, sharp against the cold metal. Clones saluted as I passed, but I barely acknowledged them. My thoughts were elsewhere—tight, unsettled.
The containment chamber door hissed open. Inside, Obi-Wan stood calm and unreadable, arms folded. Ahsoka—quiet, unusually still—stared at the energy cell at the room’s center. That silence around her said more than words ever could.
Rex met me near the entrance, his posture as steady as ever—but I noticed the tension in his jaw.
“General Skywalker,” he greeted with a nod.
“Any changes in our… guest?” I asked.
He glanced toward the being in the cell—Leonardo. Still unmoving. Still meditating. Still watching, even with closed eyes.
“Hasn’t moved since we brought him in,” Rex said quietly.
The atmosphere shifted. The air felt heavier, more aware. This wasn’t just a prisoner—it was a presence. A calm, ancient stillness that didn’t belong. And somehow, I could feel it.
Waiting. Watching.

"Hold still." Bedraggled from his two months of captivity, he was still the same commanding medic he'd always been.
"It looks worse than it is," Rex tried to argue, trying to hide the wince that speaking brought on.
"He tried to tell us the same thing," Fives addressed Coric, both of them ignoring Rex's muttered litany under his breath that he was 'fine.'
Coric's face was impassively neutral, as it always was when he was in medic mode. But, then his eyes rose up to meet Rex's gaze and worry dropped into his tone. "You are coming back with us, right?"
