Summary
Batman had called Red Robin in for a patrol—it was just the two of them trying to solve a particularly complicated case. The other vigilantes had already finished their own patrols and were all gathered in the Batcave. They had a meeting, and the final goal was to decide how they would approach the third Robin.
Meanwhile,
The Batkids’ experiment had yielded good results, and Damian ended up commenting on it to Bruce, who, out of nowhere, decided that he, too, would get closer to his son.

Exy wasn’t part of his plan; it was never supposed to be more than the unfamiliar sport that existed here and that his alternate self apparently played.
