“When I summoned you, Shadow Link, I expected you to follow orders,” Demise seethes, glaring down at him with the hatred the god is so well known for. “Kill the heroes, I commanded you. And what do you do?” He slams his fists down onto the arms of his gaudy throne, cracking the stone. “Pull pranks?!”
“Distractions,” Shadow lies smoothly, wondering if it is possible for a god to perish from high blood pressure. “To lead them astray from the Goddesses’ mission.”
“I want them dead, not distracted!”
Shadow fights not to laugh. Well, that’s not going to happen. If Demise wanted them dead so badly, he should have picked a minion that actually gave a shit about his world-ending nonsense.
Besides, if the heroes were dead, Shadow Link wouldn’t be having nearly so much fun.

But it's not a kokiri, it's no longer dead, and something in its eyes very much wants him over anything else and nobody there seems to realize just how much danger they're in.
It's much too late when he realizes he didn't know, either.

Looking forward once more to where previously the dark-haired man sat empty, now a floating dementor-like being remained. Scrutinizing the being it seemed like a dementor, with its long pitch-black cloak skeletal-like features but the form in front of her was triple the size of normal dementors.
With its grating voice, it began to speak, "Do you believe me now Mistress?"

Legend awoke warm and feeling light. The weight of the world had fallen off his shoulders while he had napped, and now, upon returning to the world, he basked in the moment. Keeping his eyes closed, he snuggled deeper into the sailcloth; he knew the texture and feel by heart. It smelled of sunshine and fresh air, somehow even being attached to one of their sweatier heroes. Sky was known for being short of breath, and long stretches of exertion would wear the carefree hero out like no other.
