Izuku Midoriya knows he’s dead. As a ghost working with the Dead Boy Detectives he helps with cases while not doing a case he can’t do himself. He remembers the day he died but not how.
A visit to Destiny changes everything. In the presence of beings older than time an impossible truth is revealed. Long ago, their mother took pity on him and made him something eternal, not a sibling but Love itself, born of compassion and unfinished hope.
The problem is, Izuku doesn’t know how to be Love. He’s never seen it and the only love he remembers came from David, if it was even love.
The Endless watch him closely. Dream's attention is quiet and protective, drawn to the cracks in Izukus mind. Desire's fascination is unsettling. Death's is gentle and heavy with guilt. Despair feels something familiar, while Delirium sees what no one else can quite understand.
Caught between ghosts and gods Izuku must learn what it means to embody love itself, especially when he can't remember his own end and love has never been something the universe was kind enough to teach him.
And Death remembers that he he did not die by 1 moment alone but by a world that gave him no love and by humans who chose to be cruel.

The boy’s face crumpled. It was as if Edwin had somehow found the exact worst thing to say to him, like he’d not only stabbed him but twisted the knife on the way out.
