Chapter 1:
Percival Graves returned to work on Monday. He walked to the Woolworth Building, footsteps as sure and brisk as ever, a heavy black briefcase in hand, a plain blue scarf around his neck.
Nothing to indicate that, just one hour ago, he had fucked and killed a No-Maj man.
Chapter 2:
Wandless magic was practical: wands could be snapped, magic couldn’t. And he was right. He had held his own against Gellert Grindelwald for at least two hours. After being taken by surprise. Without his wand.
Not that anyone had fucking noticed.
Chapter 3:
Percival froze. “Newt,” he said slowly, quietly, in prolonged disbelief, “Newt, there’s a Niffler in my pants.”
Newt turned scarlet.
The magizoologist’s wand clattered to the ground. It rolled to the edge of the room, sheltered under a short, messy stack of paper.
Then, Theseus’ darling baby brother – the innocent, socially awkward, unassuming Newt Scamander, still half-hidden under Percival’s desk – lunged at Percival’s pants and removed his belt as if it had personally offended him.

That is – Muggles? Man or Beast?
If this had been a thousand or so years ago the question would have been simple. Even Pureblood nuts like Salazar Slytherin had never doubted that Muggles were human. Perhaps a lesser kid of human, but men none the less. But now…well, it was the wings really, they complicated everything.
Or a Wing AU in which it is Muggles, and not Wizards, who have wings.
