This is a story about what would happen if the Gods weren’t happy with Harry’s fate , -(Harry would end up agreeing after all of the heartache and pain he goes through to survive in a world where he was never really sure he wanted to be living in the first place and no one appreciated him in nearly enough)- and decided to fuck around with his ending and send him back to where it all began.
Welcome to this author’s version of how they would have given more emphasis on the traumatic aspect of Harry’s life and how we can overcome obstacles in life and give him the happy ending he deserves. Cause I don’t like him with Ginny – sue me – no don’t actually I’m a college kid I’m broke you will get no money.

In Vegas, after they’d said everything right up to the edge of I love you, Shane and Ilya came up with a plan. It was long term, with many, many steps. There might be a spreadsheet somewhere that Shane won’t admit to.
But it’s a plan, nonetheless. Over the summer of 2014, they tweak it and add things important to the both of them. There are even many, extensive, contingency plans.

After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.
