Kaoru let out a long sigh and dropped his phone on the bed beside him. The still air in his room felt oppressive and unbearable. He got up to open the window, praying for any slight breeze. Instead, Kaoru faced a ghost as he dragged his window open. The window across from his—Kojiro's window—stayed permanently closed now that the bedroom was empty, and he was off in Italy.

Summary
Of course kaoru would snore like a kitten. Everything about him was cat-like, from his aloof attitude to his green eyes that sometimes shifted gold when the light was just right. Like right now. Oh no. His eyes were open. Kaoru's bright green eyes were open and they were looking back at Kojiro.

It wasn't unusual for kojiro and kaoru to have alcohol induced sleepovers, but after a messy night at Adam's final going away party, they get a little too drunk on cherry soju and change their friendship forever

Summary
“Happy Pride!!” the loud, as always, Kojiro Nanjo had burst into his partner, Kaoru Sakurayashiki’s, bedroom, all dressed up, with a pink, purple and blue streak following across his left cheek. The two of them were finally going to pride together; and not only that but it was Kojiro’s first pride as being an out and proud (loud) bisexual, and that him and Kaoru had officially been dating for almost a whole year! (Having, unironically, ended up getting together at a very messy pride after watching some live performers talk about the “gay phenomenon” of falling in love with your best friend – leading to Kaoru’s eventual freak-out, Kojiro’s need to come out as bisexual, and... well... the rest was history.)
Yet, this day, when Kojiro had burst into Kaoru’s room, instead of finding him covered in excentric make-up showing off his own true colours, he found the boy in the dark, blinds closed, curled up, cuddling his knees to his chest with big bulky headphones blocking out the rest of the world.

Kaoru is struggling with being trans in regards to society, and Kojiro supports him through that suffering

“Jesus, dude, what’s in this-” Kaoru Sakurayashiki groaned, dropping a box that he had been holding down on to the floor with a soft, but not that quiet, thud. They’d been moving boxes upstairs to Oka Shokichi, the new manager of Dope Sketch’s, new office for about a week, and had finally gotten the last ones upstairs.

Shokichi’s father, owner and previous manager, landed himself in the hospital. He’d gotten sick - bad and fast.

However, since this event had led Oka to becoming the new manager earlier than already intended, he, of course, was dragging Kaoru to help.

When Oka finally needs to take over Dope Sketch, Kaoru himself too had his own plans on what to do with his life, ones that nobody was aware of.

Summary
May 1st – Adam's birthday. A day that occurred every year with no fail. Yet, this time, it wasn’t just Adam; it was Cherry and Joe too. Those two misfits that he’d decided to bring along with his crew were going to be around for his birthday, and not only around, but they were placed in charge.
In charge of the food at least.

“Hey-! Sorry I’m so late, I had to go to like 3 different stores for this stupid sugar-!” the front door slammed, followed by the heavy footing of Kojiro Nanjo down the corridor.
...
“You still here-?” he muttered quietly, pushing the door open with his elbow, behaviour immediately taking a full 180 at the non-response.
It was quiet. Kaoru was never quiet.
Until something was wrong.
And something was wrong.

When Adam’s birthday is approaching, the dynamic duo of Kaoru and Kojiro decide to prepare a surprise for their friend. However, when Kojiro returns to help his baking friend, only to find his own kitchen a mess of blueberries and batter, celebrating was the least of his concerns.
