He continued to idly run his fingers through Anakin's hair, making Anakin's toes curl from the easy, uncomplicated bliss sparking along his nerve endings. If human bodies were capable of it, Anakin was certain he would have been purring by now. "That seems rather extreme. Even by your standards."

Before him, the lightsaber began to hover. In much the same way that Obi-Wan had when he had entered, it rose between them, coming to rest within their shared eyeline. Then, the universe itself unfolding, the lightsaber stretched apart.
At first, it was almost an optical illusion. For a moment, there was the lightsaber, then the lightsaber in pieces, and then there was only light.
Cody exhaled, a slow breath of awe. Of something like surrender. It was the final breath out as he stepped forwards into nothingness.
Cody falls in love with Obi-Wan, it feels a lot like drowning. Or, I wanted to write codywan huddling for warmth and now, almost 6k words later, here we are.

Obi-Wan doesn’t ask Anakin what he remembers when he comes to after one of his episodes, when his eyes clear and he is in command of himself again. He doesn’t ask if he can feel Obi-Wan’s attempts to comfort him when he is in the heart of it, if it hurts when Obi-Wan has to push him back. He doesn’t ask if it is frightening to lose himself each time.
All he can do is be there for Anakin as best he can and hope that it is good enough. That he is good enough.
